Princeton Admits Two Koreans Early Decision

Princeton admitted 2 out of 7 applicants on an "early decision" basis. They are Nam Hyunsu (Daewon) and Won Shinjae (Minjok). Our congratulations go out to them both. By the way, they both attended the Holiday Party, so you can see their pictures by clicking on the "Pictures and Photos" link at right.

Come One, Come All to the Holiday Party

You are invited to enjoy the holiday season with your fellow Princetonians at the Princeton Holiday Party on Tuesday, December 21, 2004, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. It will be held at the Bankers Club on the 16th floor of the Korea Federation of Banks Building. There will be lots of presents and prizes, too, so don't miss this very special event.

You must RSVP to ensure that your seat is reserved. Please RSVP in English or Korean to Dr. Park Jongkyu *93 at jkpark@kif.re.kr. The cost is 80,000 won for couples, 50,000 won for senior members and 30,000 won for junior members (Class of 2000 or later). The event is FREE for current graduate and undergraduate students. And it's FREE for Early Decision admittees, too. Hope to see you all there!

By the way, as of today, even before I sent the email invitations, 20 guests have already confirmed: 김건, 김세화, 김재준, 김종엽, 박종규, 박종상, 백운출, 이경욱, 임길진(1), 장진(2), 정운찬, 최정현, 황성우, George Corser(2), Andrew Bogan, Christina Cragholm, 윤덕순(2). We're expecting 40-50 in total, but I think the maximum the room will hold is 50, so please RSVP as soon as you can.

DONATING PRIZES: If you're interested in helping with the festivities, please bring a small gift which can be awarded at the party. The gift should not be too expensive, maybe 10-15,000 won. Be sure to write your name on the prize, so we can acknowledge your gift. At the beginning of the event, each guest will be given a card. Later, there will be a drawing to award the prizes. Remember, the more prizes, the more fun!

DONATING PICTURES: If you have digital photographs of any of the events of 2004, please email them to me at gcorser@alumni.princeton.edu. I would like to include them on this web site (princetonkorea.blogspot.com). Happy holidays, and see you at the party!

Also, click here (Princeton Lights) to see Annual Giving's greeting card solicitation. It's quite good, and kind of "Christmasy."
