Dear Christina:

I am delighted to write on behalf of the Alumni Relations and Communications (ARC) Committee to tell you that the Princeton Club of Korea has been chosen to be the recipient of the 2005 ACE Award for excellence in communications for the creation and maintenance of its blog.

The award is designed to recognize and to support effective communication by alumni organizations with their membership. In addition, the committee seeks to recognize volunteer contribution and ingenuity. The committee was extremely pleased to select the Princeton Club of Korea’s original approach to overcoming issues of language and of distance.

As you may know, the ACE award is made up of a $500 check and a citation. We usually like to have the President of the Alumni Association present both to the winner(s) at a mutually convenient event. However, given the geographic challenges, we may have to think of an innovative way to conduct the award ceremony! Kathy Taylor ’74, Director for Special Projects, will be in touch with you to coordinate.
Congratulations on this wonderful communications tool and the success you have had in re-energizing the club and creating a connection between local and foreign alumni.

Sincerely,

Ruth Bush ’90 Chair, Alumni Relations and Communications Committee
